I have the pleasure of being your students’ history teacher for the 2016-2017 school year. I am so excited to be a part of the Longhorn family as this is my first (and hopefully many to come) year in the district. I graduated with a M.S. from Texas Tech University where I studied History and Sports Management. I am very passionate when it comes to the subject of history. I truly enjoy teaching my students about history in a way that is contemporary, and draws relevancy from our everyday lives. This is a subject that should not be boring (that is Math…I kid I kid) and should be given its due attention. I will also be coaching football and basketball at Bessy Coleman. I am a very vibrant and loud person, so you will definitely see or hear me on the sideline or bench. I will make it my goal every day to give your student 110% of my time and attitude. I want to see that every student receives a quality education and develops themselves into future productive members of society. I look forward to meeting you all at some point and can’t wait to get this this going. “It’s ALWAYS a great day to be a LONGHORN!”
